Well, it looks official. The latest phase of the St Clair Streetcar right-of-way production will officially be finished this weekend! This is great news. I’m relatively new to the ‘hood, so I haven’t endured all the grief, as many of my neighbours have, with the streets ripped up for seemingly years. But, Yay, nonetheless.
The photo above was forwarded to me by Ely via a colleague at her office. It was included in an e-mailout from city councillor Joe Mihevc trumpeting the streetcars’ return. And, in good fun, it’s taken at the bottom of our street, Robina Avenue, back in 1973.
