In my years at City TV, I worked on many stories about Rahul Singh - he became a good friend of Gord’s and friend to the shop, in general. He’s a real saint and the founder of Global Media - an group that organizes EMS workers, cops, fire fighters etc. who travel the world on their vacation time to serve desparate populations during times of crisis: tsunamis, floods, earthquakes, etc.
Rahul has just been recognized as one of Time magazine’s Top 100 this year. And it’s a well-deserved honour. Note that his tribute is written by Jean-Max Bellerive, the president of Haiti. It seems Rahul’s efforts in the recent crisis have made a real, positive difference, there, and clearly an impression on the country’s president.
