From The Star: “All eyes drifted to Obama when U2’s Bono injected the political moment of the show during a spoken-word passage at the end of “Pride,” the band’s tribute to Martin Luther King. Referencing King’s “I Had A Dream” speech, Bono remarked that sentiment is not singularly American but is also “an Irish dream, an African dream, an Israeli dream, a Palestinian dream.”

Obama sat poker-faced as the message sank in. And we were reminded suddenly, soberly, of the vexing foreign affairs file that awaits on the new president’s desk – just one in a constellation of challenges that will require far more than hope.
